IF YOU’RE A UNION ACTOR WHO’S IN THE DARK…READ ON

It’s easy to read the trades, but their content doesn’t really affect the average working actor. The one small act of reading your SAG-AFTRA emails for two weeks straight can give info that actually affects you. For your convenience, I’ll list some highlights here.

The SAG-AFTRA Los Angeles Conservatory Committee 2025

works on a local level to facilitate, encourage, and empower all local SAG-AFTRA members to expand their knowledge and advance their career objectives through educational programs overseen by dedicated industry professionals. The Conservatory offers members a means to nurture their talent, business acumen, and craft to sharpen and broaden their skill sets in varied forms of production and performance. SAG-AFTRA’s Kerri Wood Einertson explains the benefits of the California Film & Television Tax Credit Program. Dec. 19, 2024

“In October, the Governor announced his proposal to expand the program from $330 million to $750 million annually. This more than doubles the program, which we need [and] we are extremely excited about,” said Wood Einertson. “This is a huge boost that we need in order to be competitive not just to other states but other countries.
